Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka stopped by FOX News this afternoon to share his latest music news.<\/p>\n
Sedaka is known for songs including \u201cBreaking Up is Hard to Do,\u201d\u00a0 \u201cCalendar Girl,\u201d and \u201cOh, Carol.\u201d\u00a0 He visited Strategy Room today, where he revealed that his life story will be shared in a London musical starting March 1st<\/sup>, called \u201cLaughter in the Rain.\u201d<\/p>\n During his half-hour visit, Sedaka answered questions that our viewers emailed in about his long career.\u00a0 And in a sit-down interview after his Strategy Room visit, he told FOX News about some of the artists who have recorded his hits.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very flattering when people cover my songs,\u201d says Sedaka.\u00a0 \u201cFrom Elvis to Frank Sinatra.\u00a0 I guess the best and the biggest cover was a song called \u2018Love Will Keep Us Together.\u2019\u00a0 It was in 1975, recorded by Captain and Tennille.\u00a0 I\u2019m very happy that I had something to do with launching their career.\u00a0 And it was my first Grammy.\u00a0 So I\u2019m very proud of the song.\u201d<\/p>\n He\u2019s also proud of his latest album, out Tuesday, called \u201cThe Music of My Life.\u201d<\/p>\n Sedaka says, \u201cI\u2019ve written over a thousand songs in 57 years, and I think these are some of the best.\u201d\u00a0 He says his album includes a range of styles from salsa to doo-wop to classical.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI used to buy a lot of LPs,\u201d says Sedaka. \u201cI didn\u2019t like it when every track sounded the same, so I make a conscious effort to have different kinds of tempos.\u201d<\/p>\n
