Tycho said as much in today&#8217;s Penny Arcade news post, and I think in many cases it&#8217;s true. Better graphics, updates and occasional free DLC, and other perks can even make a game worth buying twice. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crunchgear.com\/2009\/12\/02\/review-assassins-creed-2\/\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed II <\/a>is one I&#8217;ve been waiting on for a while now, and I&#8217;m happy to say it&#8217;ll be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomshardware.com\/news\/Assassin-s-Creed-PC-Game-Specs,9506.html\">hitting PC come March 16<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum specs are actually quite reasonable. <em>AC <\/em>ran like butter on my two-year-old midrange PC, and looked ten times better than <em>Dragon Age<\/em>, which has just the worst framerates I&#8217;ve ever seen. Here&#8217;s what you&#8217;ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4 GHz<\/li>\n<li>RAM: 1.5 GB Windows XP \/ 2 GB Windows Vista &#8211; Windows 7<\/li>\n<li>Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher<\/li>\n<li>Sound Card: DirectX 9.0 -compliant sound card <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recommended stats are higher, of course. The rest are at the link above.<\/p>\n<p>March, though &mdash; man, by the time I&#8217;ve finished it, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crunchgear.com\/2010\/01\/14\/assassins-creed-iii-could-hit-shelves-as-early-as-april-2010\/\">AC3 will be coming out!<\/a> I suppose it&#8217;ll be a nice, long wait till the PC version of <em>that<\/em> comes out as well.
