A share issue by the social network <a href=\"http:\/\/gigaom.com\/2009\/12\/16\/facebook-ipo\/\">could be worth<\/a> upwards of $10 billion, depending on whose valuation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/apps\/news?pid=20601109&#038;sid=a8WKOckNML3k\">methods<\/a> you decide to use (some are <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.forbes.com\/billions\/2010\/01\/13\/facebook-shares-just-keep-climbing\/\">as high as<\/a> $14 billion). There also seems to be some debate among investment industry observers about whether the IPO market <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techflash.com\/seattle\/2009\/12\/nvcas_mark_heesen_the_ipo_market_will_not_recover_in_2010.html\">is coming back<\/a> any time soon.<\/p>\n<p>An IPO by Facebook is viewed by many as the most hotly-awaited technology stock offering since Google went public in 2004, and there have been signs that the social network is at least considering a public share issue, including a restructuring of the company&#8217;s capital structure to create two classes of stock, something that is <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.barrons.com\/techtraderdaily\/2009\/11\/24\/facebook-sets-dual-class-stock-structure-no-ipo-plans-just-yet-they-swear\/\">often a prelude to an IPO<\/a>.
