The Japanese brand has suffered a severe drop in volume in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d say (we\u2019ll hit the mark) probably within three years,\u201d John Koenig, executive vice president-MMNA, told <em>WardsAuto<\/em> during an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi sold only 53,986 vehicles in the U.S. last year, a whopping 44.5 percent below the 97,257 it sold in 2008.
