Originally offered a .750 inch bore size, the AGS Series Slide is now also available in bore sizes of .750, 1.00 and 1.250 inches. All three sizes offer a choice of 1-inch increments to 6-inch maximum travel lengths to fit a wide range of applications.<br \/>\nAGI pneumatic linear base slides have an integral pneumatic cylinder and high-precision recirculating closed ball bearings. The end stops are hardened, adjustable, and hydraulic dampers are used at the end of travel to decelerate the carriage. The aluminum body and end blocks feature threaded mounting holes and precision holes for accepting locating dowels. The end blocks are bolted onto the shafts to keep them from moving making this makes a ridged precision slide and repeatability is an impressive 0.01-inch. The AGS slides available with linear ball bearings or Polycarbonate composite bearings; end positions are adjustable and may be sensed using Proximity sensors to signal the end positions.<br \/>\nAGI also has a full line of linear actuators, base slides, Magnetically coupled slides, thrusters and pneumatic actuators that provide smooth linear motion due to the precision ball bearings riding on hardened ground shafts. The aluminum body and end blocks contain tapped holes and dowel pin holes for precision mounting or fixturing. The AGSL slide series have a magnetically coupled rodless air cylinder that drives the saddle. AGS series have a built in air cylinder that reduces the overall length or footprint. AGT series thruster slide series are powered by an external air cylinder and have an exclusive dual end plates system to keep the shafts from vibrating.
