{"id":233689,"date":"2010-01-26T19:42:31","date_gmt":"2010-01-27T00:42:31","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c630a53ef0120a8144474970b"},"modified":"2010-01-26T19:42:31","modified_gmt":"2010-01-27T00:42:31","slug":"l-a-business-owner-charged-in-property-tax-reassessment-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/233689","title":{"rendered":"L.A. business owner charged in property tax reassessment case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The owner of a Los Angeles tax reassessment business was sentenced to community service today after pleading guilty to misleading consumers with mail solicitations, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Sean McConville, 29, pleaded guilty to a dozen misdemeanor counts of disclosure violations for unsolicited mailings that appeared to be coming from a government agency, the Los Angeles County district attorney&#8217;s office said.<\/p>\n<p>McConville, owner of Property Tax Reassessment, was charged in May after a probe by state authorities targeting businesses that charged homeowners substantial fees to fill out property tax reassessment forms, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to 250 hours of community service, McConville was sentenced to three years of probation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; Robert J.
