Toyota announced today that it is temporarily suspending sales of eight models that are involved in the recall for sticking accelerator pedal. The vehicles include the 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla, 2007-2010 Toyota Camry, 2010 Toyota Highlander and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cHelping ensure the safety of our customers and restoring confidence in Toyota are very important to our company,\u201d said Group Vice President and Toyota Division General Manager Bob Carter. \u201cThis action is necessary until a remedy is finalized. We\u2019re making every effort to address this situation for our customers as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toyota said that it will recall\u00a0approximately 2.3 million vehicles to correct sticking accelerator pedals on specific Toyota Division models.<\/p>\n

\nCertain 2007-2010 Camry,
\n2010 Highlander,
\n2007-2010 Tundra,
