Remember Mercury? That third brand in the FoMoCo lineup next to Ford and Lincoln? While Mercury hasn’t shown a new car or new concept since before any of us were born, CEO Alan Mulally doesn’t seem to want to give up on the brand just yet.<\/p>\n

Asked at the 2010 Washington Auto Show whether or not Mercury has a future, Mulally replied:\u00a0”The plan right now is (to develop) Ford, Lincoln and Mercury.”<\/p>\n

He said that the plan is to position Mercury with smaller vehicles that fill the void between mainstream Ford and Lincoln branded vehicles.<\/p>\n
