\nIn an interview to air tonight at 8pm on the PBS show <\/a>Tavis Smiley Reports<\/a> <\/em>(an hour before the President’s State of the Union address), Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton indicates she will not serve a second term<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\nShe also flatly denies any interest in a run for the presidency….a denial made by many a future candidate so I don’t think you can count her out.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\tTAVIS SMILEY: Finally, there\u2019s already speculation about whether or not
\n\t\tSecretary Clinton is going to do this for the full first time, and
\n\t\twhether or not she has any interest if asked to stay on to do it for
\n\t\teight years? You see how tough the job is, can you imagine yourself
\n\t\tdoing all four years and, if asked, doing it for another four years? <\/p>\n

\t\tHILLARY CLINTON: No, I really can\u2019t. I mean, it is just\u2026 <\/p>\n

\t\tTAVIS SMILEY: No to what? All four or eight? <\/p>\n

\t\tHILLARY CLINTON: The whole, the whole eight, I mean, that that would be
\n\t\tvery challenging. But I, you know, I don’t wanna make any predictions
\n\t\tsitting here, I\u2019m honored to serve, I serve at the pleasure of the
\n\t\tPresident, but it\u2019s a, it\u2019s a 24\/7 job, and I think at some point, I
\n\t\twill be very happy to LAUGHS pass it on to someone else. <\/p>\n

\t\tTAVIS SMILEY: That opens the door for the obvious question, what would
\n\t\tHillary Clinton want to do when she is no longer Secretary of State? <\/p>\n

\t\tHILLARY CLINTON: Oh, I, there\u2019s so many things I\u2019m interested in, I
\n\t\tmean, really going back to private life and spending time reading, and
\n\t\twriting, and maybe teaching, doing some personal travel, not the kind
\n\t\tof travel where you bring along a couple of hundred people with you.
\n\t\tJust focusing on, on issues of women, girls, families, the kind of
\n\t\tintersection between what\u2019s considered \u2018real politique\u2019 and real life
\n\t\tpolitics, which has always fascinated me. <\/p>\n

\t\tTAVIS SMILEY: And finally, just for the record, you have said before,
\n\t\temphatically, in fact, that you are not interested in running again for
\n\t\tPresident of the United States, I\u2019m taking your answer now to mean that
\n\t\tthat\u2019s still the same? <\/p>\n

\t\tHILLARY CLINTON: Absolutely not interested.\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n
