Over in Europe, a human rights group has asked the European Commission <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/technology\/8480699.stm\" >to do an assessment of Virgin Media&#8217;s new copyright cop software<\/a>, and the EC has agreed to &#8220;monitor&#8221; it.
