I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make sure we&rsquo;re putting American workers first. &rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Also, I hope the President talks about ways we can protect the fiscal future of our country,&rdquo; Donnelly said. &ldquo;Washington has waited too long to take common-sense steps to reduce spending and shrink the deficit. I support common-sense reforms like the proposed freeze on discretionary spending for federal agencies. In fact, each year I&rsquo;ve been in office I&rsquo;ve voted against a budget because I thought the proposed increases in spending were too high.
