The troubled–but still sold out–National Tea Party Convention got more bad news<\/a> after Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said the for-profit nature of the event might prevent her from attending. Meanwhile, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.)–who promoted the event at the December premiere <\/a>of “Tea Party: The Documentary Film”–has already bailed<\/a> on the event.<\/p>\n

If Blackburn had attended, she would have shared a stage<\/a> with Ana Puig, a Tea Party activist whose expertise is on how the Democrats are turning America into a “Banana Republic.”<\/p>\n
