Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), who announced that she could no longer attend the National Tea Party Convention being held in her own state, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonindependent.com\/75062\/freeze%20in%20domestic%20discretionary%20spending%20would%20immediately%20save%20$53%20billion%20and%20more%20importantly%20demonstrate%20an%20immediate%20commitment%20to%20fiscal%20restraint\">has pulled the plug<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>\u201cWe\u2019re out,\u201d said Bachmann spokesman Dave Dziok. \u201cIt comes down to conflicting advice as to how these profits are going to be used after the fact. We\u2019d rather err on the side of caution than do it and find out it\u2019s improper&#8230; with somebody saying \u2018they\u2019re using the money from an event you were at to support this and this,\u2019 which comes as a direct conflict with what you\u2019re doing as a member of Congress.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>&#8230; Both Blackburn and Bachmann sought legal guidance in recent days from lawyers in the House Ethics Committee.
