According to Mike DiGiovanni, GM’s executive director of global market and industry analysis, leading economic indicators “are pointing to a robust recovery.” DiGiovanni said that GM is now increasing its sales forecast from the old 10.7 million – 11.7 million to 11.2 million – 11.7 million.<\/p>\n

DiGiovanni said that GM raised the bottom of the range because of increased confidence in the strengthening economy.<\/p>\n

The update brings the low-end of GM’s forecast in line with FoMoCo’s, which expects U.S. sales of 11.5 million to 12.5 million units.<\/p>\n
