{"id":245428,"date":"2010-01-29T06:11:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T11:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9864176.post-2473842186069658672"},"modified":"2010-01-29T06:13:15","modified_gmt":"2010-01-29T11:13:15","slug":"origin-seeks-environmental-nod-for-a35bln-lng-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/245428","title":{"rendered":"Origin seeks environmental nod for A$35bln LNG project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reuters has an update on Origin Energy&#8217;s proposed <a href=\"http:\/\/peakenergy.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/coal-seam-gas-producers-new-masters-of.html\">coal seam gas<\/a> to LNG project &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/idUSSGE60S02520100129\">Origin seeks environmental nod for A$35bln LNG project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Australia&#8217;s Origin Energy Ltd (ORG.AX) reported a small rise in quarterly output on Friday and said it had sought formal environmental clearance for its gas export project with U.S. ConocoPhillips (COP.N).<\/p>\n<p>Origin, the country&#8217;s largest producer of coal seam gas, said the lodging of the draft environmental statement with the Queensland state government advances the A$35 billion ($31.3 billion) project towards a final investment decision by December this year and first LNG shipments by late 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Origin posted a 2 percent gain in its second-quarter output and a 16 percent rise in revenue, helped by higher commodity prices.<\/p>\n<p>Production for the three months ended Dec. 31 was 24 petajoules equivalent (PJe), bringing its half year output to 49.8 PJe.
