The vessel is due to be launched during Greenpeace\u2019s 40th anniversary year in 2011.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vessel is currently under construction at the Fassmer Shipyard in Germany and will feature two 45m high aluminum A-frame masts that will carry five hydraulically furling sails. The Rainbow Warrior III will also make use of recycled aluminum and feature the latest in green technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Generator heat in the vessel will be reused to heat water and pre-heat the engines. Moreover, the vessel will also be optimized to harvest wind energy to reduce the amount of fossil fuel being consumed.
