The Wooden Chunk House is a project by Plus48 \/ Grupa Projektowa \/ Design Group<\/a>. The project is currently in the works and slated to start at the winter’s end. The building site is located in the village of Sekocin, 20 km south-west from Warsaw occupying 2500 sqm of covered old pine woods. As for the construction, the material used will be concrete insulated with rock wool. Northern and eastern elevations are covered with wooden chunk in the outer skin, with the chunks coming from the trees being cut to have a clean footprint of the building. Wide glazed opening on the south-west elevation open dining and living areas towards wooden surroundings, and the building is surrounded from southern and western side with terraces. The terraces are designed as summer extentions of the living area. Western elevation opens towards recreation yard on the basement level.<\/p>\n
