Instead, a simple black background pushed forward the words &#034;YOU IDIOTS: meet the planet&#039;s worst enemies&#034; and drew readers&#039; attention to climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/story\/31633532\/as_the_world_burns\">13-page article<\/a> went through the latest chapter in climate legislation, without pulling any punches. It called out every major obstacle to climate legislation from the Heritage Foundation&#039;s disinformation to the &#034;<a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/story\/31633524\/the_climate_killers\">17 polluters and deniers who are derailing efforts to curb global warming<\/a>.&#034; (Two EDF experts were quoted in the piece as well: our president, Fred Krupp, and chief economist, Dan Dudek.)<\/p>\n<p>While <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> writer Tim Dickinson captures a lot of the frustration felt in the climate campaign, he misses the mark when it comes to his closing. &#034;The battle over global warming may already be over,&#034; he writes. &#034;Where are the crowds marching the streets?&#034; he asks.<\/p>\n<p>We are here.<\/p>\n<p>Well, we may not always be in the streets &#8212; but we are in the halls of Congress, pushing for action. And the front lines are packed with some unusual allies &#8212; <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.thecapsolution.org\/page.cfm?tagID=39243\">steel-town mayor John Fettterman<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/climate411\/2010\/01\/22\/new-ad-shows-broad-support-for-a-climate-bill\/\">companies and labor unions<\/a>, EDF climate activists (<a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagID=12803\">add your voice!<\/a>), and many more.
