Territory-based Tenax says it could potentially generate enough electricity to supply 194,000 homes &#8211; more than exist in the NT. It has applied for an environmental assessment of the scheme at Clarence Strait at Glyde Point, 50km northeast of Darwin.<\/p>\n<p>More than 450 generators would be installed across 1690ha of the seabed and connected to the NT&#8217;s electricity grid by 2km-long underground cables.
