Kenengba conducted a Chinese Twitter user survey on Jan 27 2010. Apart from mapping out the background of Chinese twitterers, the blogger wants to find out why Chinese netizens take all the trouble to get around the Great Fire Wall for getting access to Twitter. He received around 1,000 responses and posted the finding in his blog<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\"Gender<\/a><\/p>\n

\u6570\u636e\u663e\u793a13%\u7684\u53d7\u8bbf\u8005\u4e3a\u5973\u6027\uff0c87%\u4e3a\u7537\u6027\u3002\u8fd9\u4e0e\u5927\u591a\u6570\u4eba\u7684\u9884\u6d4b\u57fa\u672c\u543b\u5408\uff0c\u4e2d\u6587Twitter\u5708\u5b50\u9633\u6c14\u8fc7\u91cd\uff0c\u7537\u6027\u63a8\u53cb\u5e94\u8be5\u9f13\u52b1\u8eab\u8fb9\u7684\u5973\u6027\u670b\u53cb\u4e0aTwitter\uff0c\u4e0d\u7136\uff0c\u6309\u7167\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6bd4\u4f8b\uff0c\u5728Twitter\u4e0a\u627e\u5230\u5973\u670b\u53cb\u7684\u51e0\u7387\u4e0d\u4f1a\u5f88\u5927\u3002<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the data, 13% of the respondents is female and 87% is male which is consistent to most people's observation. Chinese Twitter circle is too masculine. Male twitterers should encourage your female friend to use Twitter or else chance for meeting girl friend here would be very low.<\/div>\n

\u6570\u636e\u663e\u793a\u5927\u591a\u6570\u63a8\u53cb\u7684\u5e74\u9f84\u572821-29\u5c81\u4e4b\u95f4\uff0c\u8fd9\u90e8\u5206\u63a8\u53cb\u5360\u4e86\u5c06\u8fd170%\u7684\u6bd4\u4f8b\u3002…\u5728\u63a5\u53d7\u8c03\u67e5\u7684\u63a8\u53cb\u91cc\uff0c\u5e74\u9f84\u6700\u5c0f\u7684\u662f12\u5c81\uff0c\u6700\u5927\u7684\u4e3a55\u5c81\u3002\u4e0b\u9762\u662f\u5e74\u9f84\u5206\u5e03\u76f4\u65b9\u56fe\uff0c\u5f88\u660e\u663e\u5730\uff0c\u63a8\u53cb\u7684\u5e74\u9f84\u5448\u6b63\u6001\u5206\u5e03…<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

70% of the twitterers is between 21-29, the youngest twitterer is only 12 and the oldest is 55. Below is a bar chart on the age distribution. It is in normal distribution. <\/div>\n

\u82e5\u5e72\u5e74\u524d\uff0c\u6709\u7740\u81ea\u7531\u601d\u60f3\u7684\u5927\u5b66\u751f\u505a\u4e86\u4e00\u4ef6\u8f70\u52a8\u7684\u4e8b\u3002\u73b0\u5728\uff0c\u638c\u6743\u8005\u600e\u4e48\u53ef\u80fd\u8f7b\u6613\u8ba9\u5927\u5b66\u751f\u4e0aTwitter\uff1f<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The majority of the users has bachelor degree and the second largest group is master degree holders followed by twitters with tertiary education background.<\/p>\n

We should notice that a group of high school students is running towards Web 2.0. <\/p>\n

Many years ago, liberal minded university students marked our history, the authority will never allow undergraduate using Twitter. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u5c06\u8fd1\u4e00\u534a\u7684\u53d7\u8bbf\u63a8\u53cb\u6765\u81ea\u5317\u4eac\u3001\u4e0a\u6d77\u3001\u5e7f\u4e1c\u4e09\u5730\uff0c\u63a5\u4e0b\u6765\u5206\u522b\u662f\uff1a\u6d59\u6c5f\u3001\u6c5f\u82cf\u3001\u798f\u5efa\u3002\u3002\u3002\u8fd96\u4e2a\u5730\u533a\u7684\u63a8\u53cb\u5360\u4e86\u603b\u6570\u768467%\u3002\u4ece\u5730\u56fe\u4e0a\u770b\uff0c\u8fd96\u4e2a\u5730\u533a\u90fd\u4f4d\u4e8e\u6cbf\u6d77\u5730\u533a\uff0c\u7ecf\u6d4e\u76f8\u5bf9\u6bd4\u8f83\u53d1\u8fbe\u3002<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

More than half of the respondents come from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong followed by Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Fujian… The 6 regions constitute 67% of the respondents. They are located along the coastal line and economically more well off. <\/div>\n

\u4ece\u6570\u636e\u91cc\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5230\uff0c\u5b66\u751f\u63a8\u53cb\u5360\u4e86\u5c06\u8fd130%\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u662f\u201c\u8ba1\u7b97\u673a\u8f6f\u3001\u786c\u4ef6\u201d\u884c\u4e1a15%\u3001\u201c\u4e92\u8054\u7f51\u4ea7\u54c1\u76f8\u5173\u201d12.5%\u3002\u5982\u679c\u5c06\u540e\u4e24\u8005\u5f52\u7c7b\u4e3aIT\u884c\u4e1a\uff0c\u90a3\u5b66\u751f\u548cIT\u4eba\u58eb\u5360\u4e86\u63a8\u53cb\u768450%\u4ee5\u4e0a\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u662fTwitter\u7684\u4e3b\u529b\u519b\u3002<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The data shows that about 30% of the respondents are students followed by computer software and hardware sector (15%) and then Internet related production sector (12.5%). If we group the two into I.T industry, then we can see that students and I.T professionals are the key player in Twitter community as they together constitute more than 50% of the respondents. <\/div>\n
