Exit le Compass et le Commander qui, faute de clients, ne seront pas remplac\u00e9s. Place \u00e0 un nouveau petit 4&#215;4 d\u00e9riv\u00e9 de la Panda Cross, et \u00e0 un SUV\u00a0compact bas\u00e9 sur la prometteuse\u00a0plateforme C-Evo du groupe Fiat, celle de la prochaine <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/news\/alfa-romeo-giulietta-ca-se-precise\/\"  >Alfa Romeo Giulietta<\/a>. Le groupe Chrysler, toujours dans la tourmente malgr\u00e9 sa reprise en mains par l&#8217;italien Fiat, n&#8217;est pas encore tir\u00e9 d&#8217;affaire, et Jeep, consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&#8217;actif le plus sur de Chrysler, a bien besoin lui aussi de nouveaut\u00e9s. En voici une de poids, au propre comme au figur\u00e9. Notez que Jeep en tant que marque ne dispara\u00eetra pas de nos march\u00e9s, contrairement \u00e0 Chrysler, remplac\u00e9 par Lancia (avec les m\u00eames voitures) d&#8217;ici 2011, tout au moins en France et en Belgique, en plus de l&#8217;Italie bien entendu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-052-bis.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1950\" title=\"Jeep Grand Cherokee 052 bis\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-052-bis.jpg\" alt=\"Jeep Grand Cherokee 052 bis\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-Beaucoup plus moderne d&#8217;aspect que celui qu&#8217;il remplace, mais aussi moins ostentatoire et plus classieux, le nouveau Grand Cherokee est bas\u00e9 sur la m\u00eame plateforme technique que le dernier Mercedes ML. Un souvenir de feu l&#8217;alliance Daimler-Chrysler. Il b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie des syst\u00e8mes suivants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comme le ML, la suspension r\u00e9glable Quadra Lift \u00e0 3 positions (hauteur de caisse).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Il poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement un syst\u00e8me type Land Rover Terrain Response \u00e0 5 positions; &laquo;&nbsp;Sable\/boue&nbsp;&raquo;, &laquo;&nbsp;Neige&nbsp;&raquo;, &laquo;&nbsp;Rochers&nbsp;&raquo;, &laquo;&nbsp;Sport&nbsp;&raquo; et &laquo;&nbsp;Auto&nbsp;&raquo;.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 glissement limit\u00e9 associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me permettant de choisir 3 types de traction 4&#215;4; Quadra Trac I, Quadra Trac II et Quadra Drive.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-Le Grand Cherokee n&#8217;est pas qu&#8217;un SUV pour beaux quartiers, voyez par exemple les derni\u00e8res photos de la galerie ci-dessous (2 \u00e8me. page); c&#8217;est un vrai baroudeur qui entend bien en remontrer \u00e0 la plupart de ses concurrents au\u00a0niveau franchissement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-048-bis.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1951\" title=\"Jeep Grand Cherokee 048 bis\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-048-bis.jpg\" alt=\"Jeep Grand Cherokee 048 bis\" width=\"600\" height=\"452\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;&gt; La r\u00e9volution par rapport au mod\u00e8le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, c&#8217;est surtout \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur qu&#8217;il faudra la chercher. La qualit\u00e9 fait un bond en avant. Assez net au niveau de la qualit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue et tr\u00e8s net &laquo;&nbsp;dans l&#8217;arri\u00e8re-boutique&nbsp;&raquo; avec notamment des assemblages beaucoup plus rigoureux que par le pass\u00e9. Comme son nouveau propri\u00e9taire, Fiat, Chrysler a attendu de se retrouver dos au mur pour se r\u00e9veiller sur ce point l\u00e0, mais mieux vaut tard que jamais. Ceci dit, ne nous y trompons pas, on atteindra \u00e0 peine\u00a0une moyenne honorable\u00a0dans la cat\u00e9gorie sur ce plan; mais cette moyenne est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, et de plus c&#8217;est d\u00e9j\u00e0 une r\u00e9volution pour Chrysler&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-014-bis.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1952\" title=\"2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tendance-auto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-014-bis.jpg\" alt=\"2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;&gt; Sous le capot, c&#8217;est du certain c\u00f4t\u00e9 blocs essence, mais par contre c\u00f4t\u00e9 diesel, on ne sait pas encore quels moteurs recevra le Grand Cherokee. Il aurait du reprendre\u00a0des blocs CRDI Mercedes, mais compte tenu du divorce et du proc\u00e8s qui s&#8217;en suit, ce n&#8217;est plus gu\u00e8re envisageable. Il va donc falloir attendre que Fiat pr\u00e9cise quels blocs de sa banque d&#8217;organes\u00a0il offre au nouveau Jeep, sachant que plusieurs sont annonc\u00e9s par\u00a0la marque US,\u00a0sans autres pr\u00e9cisions. Pour les essence donc, deux moteurs au programme:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le nouveau V6 Pentastar 3,6l. 280cv. et 353 Nm. \u00e0 4800 tours; injection directe.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le V8 Hemi 5,7l. de 360cv. et 520 Nm. \u00e0 4250 tours, avec double \u00e9chappement.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;&gt; Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements, on peut s&#8217;attendre \u00e0 faire le plein, comme souvent chez les am\u00e9ricains. Outre l&#8217;arsenal habituel de ce type de v\u00e9hicule, on notera un syst\u00e8me anti-collision &laquo;&nbsp;Forward Collision Warning&nbsp;&raquo;, qui alerte le conducteur en cas de risque. Sur le Limited, on note \u00e9galement un syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9marrage et chauffage ou climatisation \u00e0 distance. C\u00f4t\u00e9 s\u00e9curit\u00e9, un syst\u00e8me du type Volvo BLIS (d\u00e9tection de v\u00e9hicule dans l&#8217;angle mort du r\u00e9troviseur) est \u00e9galement annonc\u00e9. Enfin, le Grand Cherokee re\u00e7oit un syst\u00e8me d&#8217;assistance au stationnement. Bien entendu, sur les \u00e9quipements en standard et options, on en saura plus \u00e0 la commercialisation du v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;&gt; Et justement, s&#8217;agissant de cette commercialisation, on a pas encore de date pr\u00e9cise. Mais les prix ont \u00e9t\u00e9 communiqu\u00e9s ce jour aux Etats-Unis, et la mise sur le march\u00e9, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 retard\u00e9e en raison du proc\u00e8s avec Mercedes, a \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9e elle aussi. Il faut donc s&#8217;attendre\u00a0\u00e0 voir d\u00e9barquer le nouveau Grand Cherokee en Europe d&#8217;ici l&#8217;automne prochain.\u00a0Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des prix, \u00e0 noter qu&#8217;ils sont, en tous cas outre-Atlantique, un peu moins \u00e9lev\u00e9s que ceux de la version pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Evidemment, toute conversion est inutile, mais c&#8217;est plut\u00f4t bon signe.
