As stores begin to release their spring lines, I am finding myself torn.<\/p>\n

Of course I can barely contain my excitement at the thought of wearing floral mini dresses and buying a pair of the must-have pastel jeans. But then I catch a glimpse of my leather jacket thrown over my chair and feel a pang of guilt.<\/p>\n

Will my go-to winter pieces ever understand that I don\u2019t have a choice? Come spring I will be forced to stuff away my motorcycle jacket in a box with my cashmere sweater and leather boots, and lock them away until next winter. And for a while I will forget about them, too excited by the fact that white pants and open toed shoes are back in my wardrobe. And they will sit there, cold and lonely, until the snow begins to fall once again.<\/span><\/p>\n

The truth is, after months of bitter cold I\u2019ve become extremely attached to my winter wardrobe. And beyond that, I\u2019ve developed an edgy, city girl style that chiffon dresses and baby doll tops just aren\u2019t going to fit into.<\/p>\n

Which is why I sighed a huge sigh of relief when I came across American Eagle\u2019s new spring items and found the Canvas Moto Jacket <\/a>buried inside the pages. Now I can enjoy the fact that I can wear white and get my daily dose of Vitamin D guilt-free because I can continue to channel my rocker style with this edgy, motorcycle inspired cotton jacket.<\/p>\n

The lightweight fabric and off-white color are fresh for spring, but the asymmetrical cut and zipper details keep it from being your average spring jacket. It is the perfect unexpected alternative to the typical jean jacket or white blazer.<\/p>\n

Basically, I am way too excited for warmer temperatures to come. Throwing this bad boy over a floral print dress will toughen up your typical girly ensemble with a sophisticated edge. Not to mention I\u2019ll be able to update my jean-capris-and-bubblegum-tank-top combo, with the belt undone for a laid-back, rocker feel.<\/p>\n

I also love that the jacket will be appropriate for diverse occasions. With knee length cotton dresses for grad parties and family functions, and with lots of layered necklaces and a pair of dark skinny jeans for drinks with the girls. This baby is definitely replacing my leather jacket as my go-to wardrobe piece to complete every outfit. And at an American Eagle price I\u2019ll still be able to afford my frozen fraps and margaritas on the rocks.<\/p>\n

Can Phil come out of that hole and not see a shadow please?! I\u2019m begging here!<\/p>\n
