NVIDIA&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2010\/01\/18\/nvidia-fermi-gf100-architectural-details-revealed\/\">all-new graphics architecture<\/a>, commonly known as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2009\/11\/18\/nvidias-fermi-based-geforce-100-gpu-makes-a-twitter-appearance\/\">Fermi<\/a> and recently re-coded as the GF100, has its first two commercial product names &#8212; the GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 &#8212; which as you&#8217;ll have noticed skip right past the 300s and nearly double the model numbers of the company&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2009\/11\/03\/evga-geforce-gtx-275-co-opts-a-gts-250-for-physx-duties\/\">current gen offerings<\/a>.
