Alderman Mell and Mr. Gallman will be speaking about the 5th<\/sup> generation Chicago company\u2019s value as a local growth-sustaining business that provides jobs and revenue to the city.<\/p>\n

\u201cC. Cretors and Co is truly a Chicago treasure, and a testament to business longevity,\u201d said Alderman Mell.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe concession industry, which has grown into a business powerhouse, would be a much different industry today without Cretors\u2019 leadership. I am proud to be part of this celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alderman Mell has served as 33rd Ward Alderman since 1975. <\/span><\/p>\n

He currently serves as Chairman of the Chicago City Council\u2019s Committee on Committees, Rules and Ethics and is a member of the Committees on Budget and Governmental Operations, Finance, Health, Housing & Land Acquisition, Human Relations and Traffic Control and Safety.<\/p>\n

IAMAW president Gallman commented, \u201cIt gives me great pleasure to celebrate with Cretors, a proud union shop whose workers bring tremendous value to Chicago manufacturing firms. The media and community gathering kicks off the upcoming 125th<\/sup> anniversary celebration, which culminates in a gala benefit and celebration on May 20, 2010 at the Museum of Science and Industry.<\/p>\n
