The update notes reveal that Apple apparently ordered Lexcycle to remove the USB sharing ability. Unfortunately, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipodnn.com\/articles\/10\/02\/02\/part.of.campaign.against.amazon\/\">Lexcycle is forbidden<\/a> from explaining why they were told to remove the feature. <\/p>\n<p>To me &#8212; and this is pure speculation &#8212; this is Apple&#8217;s equivalent of giving Amazon the finger. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lexcycle.com\/lexcycle_acquired_by_amazon\">Amazon acquired Lexcycle<\/a> back in 2009, and that this could be part of a series of moves by Apple to drive people toward the iPad and the upcoming iBooks software. I wouldn&#8217;t be too surprised if Apple found a way to ban the wonderful Kindle app [<a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/kindle-for-iphone\/id302584613?mt=8\">iTunes link<\/a>] from the App Store at some point in the future.
