Wetlands are a particularity good eco-issue for kids to get involved with because wetlands can be extremely interesting places for kids; full of animals, gooey wetness, plants, dirt, and all sorts of neat stuff.<\/p>\n<p>With the above in mind, I rounded up some very cool wetland projects for kids&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-141293\" src=\"http:\/\/images3.blisstree.com\/files\/2010\/02\/kids-and-wetlands.jpg\" alt=\"kids and wetlands\" width=\"590\" height=\"381\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Introduce your kids to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americaswetland.com\/custompage.cfm?pageid=28&amp;cid=183\">Estuarians<\/a> -nine loveable action heroes who serve as wetland mascots for the America&#8217;s WETLAND Campaign&#8217;s fight to save Louisiana&#8217;s coast. The info provided by these fun characters is not totally specific to Louisiana though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swfwmd.state.fl.us\/education\/splash\/building_a_wetland.html\">Build a wetland<\/a> in a pan. Or try <a href=\"http:\/\/www.miseagrant.umich.edu\/flow\/U2\/U2-L2-mat-proc.html\">building this wetland<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ngwa.org\/programs\/educator\/lessonplans\/wetlandslab1.aspx\">another version<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Become a junior Ducks Unlimited member. Just $10 allows kids and teens (17 and under) to become a Greenwing member of Ducks Unlimited.
