The still-unnamed cubs, one male and one female, are the first offspring of mother Roshani and father Sathi, who were brought to the zoo as part of a conservation breeding program in 2009.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Their eyes are open, so hopefully within the next month to six weeks they should definitely be out in the exhibit,&quot; keeper Meagan Thomas <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heraldsun.com.au\/news\/melbourne-zoos-red-pandas-receive-their-vaccinations\/story-e6frf7jo-1225825450601\">told Australia&#8217;s Herald Sun newspaper<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Red pandas are native to the mountains of Nepal,<br \/>\nMyanmar and China, where their habitat is shrinking as a result of<br \/>\ndeforestation.
