Burbank police on Tuesday released the identities of three suspects accused of leading them on a wild chase that ended with one of them fleeing on foot into a Glendale mall garage.<\/p>\n
The suspects — identified\u00a0as Christina Tristan, 22, of Burbank; Joseph Hernandez, 18, of Burbank; and Alexander Moya, 19, of Los Angeles — were booked on suspicion of robbery and felony for evading arrest. <\/p>\n
They are scheduled to appear for arraignment Wednesday in Burbank Superior Court and are being held on $50,000 to $150,000 bail. <\/p>\n
The trio are accused\u00a0of robbing the Glen-Mar liquor store in the 2000 block of Glenoaks Avenue in Burbank shortly before 11 a.m. Monday and\u00a0leading police on a chase on residential streets and freeways that ended when the brown Toyota Corolla driven by Tristan slammed into a parked car.<\/p>\n
Tristan and Hernandez were immediately arrested at the scene, according to Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada.<\/p>\n
It was\u00a0Moya, armed with a handgun, who eluded the tackle of one officer and then slid across the hood of a patrol vehicle to get away from another officer, Quesada said. He then sprinted down the street, pulling away from pursuing officers. He ran into\u00a0the Americana at Brand mall\u00a0and hid in a parking garage for about two hours\u00a0before he was apprehended by police.<\/p>\n
Quesada said the suspects might be connected to a series of robberies in the city over a two-week period.\u00a0<\/p>\n
