\nWhen McLaren first announced its all-new road car, the MP4-12C<\/a>, no mention was made about a race version. That’s not to say one won’t be eventually built. After all, the McLaren F1 was intended to be purely a road car, but we all know how that story ends. As of right now, though, the MP4-12C is just for the street. <\/p>\n

Enter Jon Sibal. He’s a talented digital artist who’s also got a thing for cars. Sibal has created “what the McLaren MP4-12C as a GTR variant might look like dressed in the iconic GULF livery.” The result is both amazingly realistic and stunningly beautiful, and it makes us desperately hope that McLaren will take the MP4-12C racing. Sibal also went on to create additional paint schemes that pay homage to the original F1 GTR liveries.
