The furious actor\/director branded Richards an &#8220;asshole\u201d after he was questioned about his addiction to alcohol and infamous anti-Semitic rant four years ago.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"500\" height=\"330\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/id4m2cv_7_8&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/id4m2cv_7_8&#038;hl=en_US&#038;fs=1&#038;\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"500\" height=\"330\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-91647\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Richards was quizzing Gibson about his new film <em>The Edge of Darkness<\/em> when he asked the <em>Braveheart<\/em> actor if he was a different person since the events several years ago.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s a real rollercoaster ride. You know I think I\u2019m the same person I always was except for\u2026..time teaches and you learn as you go,\u201d<\/em> Mel replied.<\/p>\n<p>When Richards quizzed Gibson on his drinking problems and anti-Jewish rant to a police officer in 2006, a visibly annoyed Gibson answered curtly: <em>\u201cThat\u2019s almost four years ago dude. I\u2019ve moved on\u2026I guess you haven\u2019t.
