{"id":271813,"date":"2010-02-03T15:05:50","date_gmt":"2010-02-03T20:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/?p=15737"},"modified":"2010-02-03T15:05:50","modified_gmt":"2010-02-03T20:05:50","slug":"quinn-dillard-confident-of-ultimate-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/271813","title":{"rendered":"Quinn, Dillard confident of ultimate victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-15755\" title=\"kirk-dillard\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/kirk-dillard-195x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" \/>Unable to rally behind a single nominee for governor, Republicans planned to let both front-runners Kirk Dillard (pictured at right) and Bill Brady address a unity breakfast this morning in Chicago even as the race could hinge on the final few precincts lingering uncounted from Tuesday&#8217;s primaries.<\/p>\n<p>Dillard, a Hinsdale state senator, told reporters on his way in that he believed he would ultimately secure the nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Brady, a Bloomington state senator, and Dillard are separated by only a few hundred votes in unofficial tallies. &#8220;I believe we will be victorious,&#8221; Brady said. <span id=\"more-15737\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chicago businessman Andy McKenna was a close third but the Illinois Republican Party did not plan to allow him to address the assembled Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>GOP Chairman Pat Brady, no relation to the candidate, said the party is not taking sides and would leave any decision on seeking recounts up to the campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Gov.
