Or are you a Fox Brother?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_2335\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 310px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2335\" title=\"107165038_-1_383762c\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ajc.com\/food-and-more\/files\/2010\/02\/107165038_-1_383762c-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"Becky Stein\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Becky Stein<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I noticed some new comments on my ancient <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ajc.com\/food-and-more\/2009\/11\/28\/30-restaurants-in-30-days-community-q-bbq\/\"><strong>Community Q BBQ<\/strong><\/a> post, surely occasioned by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessatlanta.com\/atlanta-restaurants-food\/community-q-bbq-288975.html\">restaurant critic Meridith Ford Goldman&#8217;s recent praise<\/a> for this Decatur barbecue newcomer.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of folks who live on the east side of town compare it to <a href=\"http:\/\/entertainment.accessatlanta.com\/atlanta-ga\/venues\/show\/1108796-fox-bros-barbq\"><strong>Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q<\/strong><\/a> and come down on one side or the other.<\/p>\n<p>I like both for different reasons &#8212; Fox Bros. for the chicken wings and the option of a barbecue salad entree, Community Q for the pulled pork and the mac &#8216;n cheese (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessatlanta.com\/atlanta-restaurants-food\/a-knack-for-mac-284611.html\">even if it does clock in at 1,400 per large serving!!!<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>But, overall, I favor Community Q because I applaud their use of locally raised meat and find the flavors of the ingredients and the smoke so clean. It appeals more to my sensibility. I also have to admit that the gut-bomb signature dishes at Fox Bros.
