Poussaint<\/a>, professor of psychiatry and faculty associate dean for student affairs at <a href=\"http:\/\/hms.harvard.edu\/hms\/home.asp\">Harvard Medical School<\/a> (HMS), will be honored with the Camille O. Cosby World of Children Award on March 13 at the 2010 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jbcc.harvard.edu\/events\/WOC\/2010_WOC.html\">World of Children Award Celebration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jbcc.harvard.edu\/index.html\">Judge Baker Children\u2019s Center<\/a> (JBCC), the celebration is an event to benefit JBCC, a Boston-based non profit organization working to improve the lives of children and their families struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Also the director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jbcc.harvard.edu\/advocacy\/mediacenter.htm\">Media Center at the Judge Baker Children\u2019s Center<\/a>, Poussaint was chosen as the 2010 honoree \u201cfor his lifelong commitment to children and to making their world a better place.\u201d Along with his work as a psychiatrist, Poussaint is a longtime advocate of civil rights and a well-known author. His most recent book, \u201cCome on People\u201d (2007), was co-authored with Bill Cosby and named a New York Times best-seller.
