Johnson died of \u201cdiabetic ketoacidosis\u201d &#8212; described as &#8220;an absolute shortage of insulin&#8221; &#8212;  the Los Angeles Coroner announced on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>The cause of death was \u201cnatural.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/INFphoto_1135369-500x750.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Casey Johnson\" width=\"500\" height=\"750\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-88441\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The troubled socialite, who was allegedly engaged to marry wacked-out reality star Tila Tequila, was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Jan. 4. She was 30. Johnson left behind her 3-year-old adopted daughter Ava, who is currently being cared for by Johnson\u2019s mother Sale Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, the L.A. Coroner&#8217;s Office also announced the cause of death of actress Brittany Murphy.
