In an interview with Access Hollywood’s<\/em> Billy Bush on Thursday, pop sensation Lady Gaga set the record straight about recent rumors that she was supposed to participate in the star-studded re-recording of \u201cWe Are The World” for Haitian Relief — only to pull out at the last moment.<\/p>\n The “Bad Romance” crooner explained that while she was asked to lend her famed vocals to the 25th anniversary of the charity effort, she politely declined. <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve actually been in rehearsal for my new tour, but I was never supposed to do \u2018We Are The World.\u2019 So that\u2019s a rumor,\u201d<\/em> Gaga told Billy. \u201cI believe that they may have asked, yes, about it, but I was unable to do it.” Gaga says she’s already been more than involved in raising money for the earthquake-ravaged nation. She’s donated all the proceeds from one of the shows on her sold-out tour, and has been busy selling t-shirts for the effort via her Web site.<\/p>\n \u201c…I\u2019ve been working on my own charity projects for Haiti.
