Although there is a slight chance of rain Thursday night, the bulk should fall Friday and continue through Saturday, said Jamie Meier, a weather service meteorologist.<\/p>\n
\nThe Friday morning commute should be dry \u201cbut by the time they go home, driving will be a mess,\u201d Meier said. \u201cMountain driving is not going to be fun tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMountain resort areas can expect up to a foot of snow with levels at about 7,000 feet Friday, dropping to 4,500 feet Saturday. Snow is not expected to have a significant effect on the Grapevine on Interstate 5, Meier said.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s very well-timed for the weekend,\u201d she said of the snow. \u201cSunday should be beautiful.\u201d <\/p>\n
