{"id":278934,"date":"2010-02-04T10:56:59","date_gmt":"2010-02-04T15:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/economics\/2010\/02\/04\/dodd-digs-in\/"},"modified":"2010-02-04T10:56:59","modified_gmt":"2010-02-04T15:56:59","slug":"dodd-digs-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/278934","title":{"rendered":"Dodd Digs In"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Senate Banking Committee<\/strong> Chairman <strong>Christopher Dodd<\/strong> (D., Conn.) had some tough words for the White House on Tuesday, warning it not to bog down the effort to overhaul financial regulation with any new complicated ideas.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, he had quickly shifted his glare to the banking industry.<\/p>\n<p>He said the effort by the banking industry to kill the legislation \u0093borders on insulting to the American people.\u0094 He also said \u0093too many people in the industry have decided to invest in an army of lobbyists whose only mission is to kill the common sense\u0094 changes.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
