It’s no secret that the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has outdated technology<\/a>. But did you know it was so bad they can’t even figure out how to rotate a fax? Erik Sherman<\/a> alerts us to a story he’s written about the USPTO rejecting a faxed submission<\/a>, because it was “received upside down.” Seriously.<\/p>\n

My guess? Perhaps the “technology” to rotate a document was patented, and the USPTO didn’t want to pay the licensing fee.<\/p>\n
