Yet another blunder in that IPCC 2007 report which (Australian Prime Minister) Kevin Rudd uses to justify his great green tax to \u201cstop\u201d global warming:<\/p>\n

A United Nations report wrongly claimed that more than half of the Netherlands is currently below sea level<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n

In fact, just twenty percent of the country consists of polders that are pumped dry, and which are at risk of flooding if global warming causes rising sea levels. Dutch Environment Minister Jacqueline Cramer has ordered a thorough investigation into the quality of the climate reports which she uses to base her policies on.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Funny how every mistake now coming to light is of the kind that tended to make global warming scarier. You know, that the Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035, the Amazonian rain forests were extremely vulnerable, the Antarctica would become too fragile even for dirty shoes. And funny, too, how the IPCC boss cadged so many grants, directorships and business deals as his IPCC hyped the dangers. (Just read a fuller list of IPCC controversies here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Nor is that the only sceptical news from the Netherlands:<\/p>\n

Dutch researchers reporting to Minister Cramer on Wednesday said that global warming appears to be slower than had been assumed. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/span>Surely Cramer\u2019s demand now for a review of the climate science by her scientists is exactly what\u2019s needed here, too. I mean, shouldn\u2019t Climate Change Minister Penny Wong be saying exactly this sort of thing herself:<\/p>\n

Dutch Environment Minister Jacqueline Cramer says she will no longer tolerate errors by climate researchers<\/a>. She expressed her anger to Dutch researchers who presented their annual report on the state of the climate on Wednesday.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Here\u2019s Tony Abbott\u2019s way out of the pinch of claiming to still believe in dangerous man-made warming, yet blocking Rudd\u2019s emissions trading scheme. Surely there\u2019s now so many scandals engulging the IPCC and its science, that it\u2019s mad for us to spend a single dollar more until an inquiry – with sceptical scientists on board too – reviews all the science we were once falsely told was \u201csettled\u201d.<\/p>\n

Demand an inquiry now.<\/p>\n

India has threatened to pull out of the United Nations\u2019 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and set up its on climate change body <\/a>because it \u201ccannot rely\u201d on the group headed by its own Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr R K Pachauri\u2026 <\/em><\/p>\n

In India the (IPCC\u2019s) false claims (on the Himalayas) have heightened tensions between Dr Pachauri and the government\u2026 In Autumn, its environment minister, Jairam Ramesh, said that while glacial melting in the Himalayas was a real concern, there was evidence that some were actually advancing despite global warming\u2026 <\/em><\/p>\n

(L)ast night Mr Ramesh effectively marginalised the IPC chairman even further. He announced that the Indian government will establish a separate National Institute of Himalayan Glaciology to monitor the effects of climate change on the world\u2019s \u201cthird ice cap\u201d, and an \u201cIndian IPCC\u201d to use \u201cclimate science\u201d to assess the impact of global warming throughout the country. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a fine line between climate science and climate evangelism. I am for climate science. …\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
