{"id":282607,"date":"2010-02-05T08:57:45","date_gmt":"2010-02-05T13:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.ajc.com\/food-and-more\/?p=2356"},"modified":"2010-02-05T08:57:45","modified_gmt":"2010-02-05T13:57:45","slug":"saskatoon-opens-in-buckhead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/282607","title":{"rendered":"Saskatoon opens in Buckhead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2357\" title=\"image008\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ajc.com\/food-and-more\/files\/2010\/02\/image008-300x220.jpg\" alt=\"image008\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Southern farm-to-table cooking certainly has its appeal, but don&#8217;t you think it&#8217;s about time we had a restaurant named for a city in the Canadian prairie with a menu featuring high-plains game?<\/p>\n<p>Wait no longer, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/saskatoonatlanta.com\/\">Saskatoon<\/a><\/strong> is here.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Atrium in the Buckhead Village complex (in the space that was the very short-lived Harry Bissett&#8217;s), Saskatoon offers an anything-but-trendy bar and grill menu with an emphasis on game.<\/p>\n<p>Elk tenderloin, ostrich fillet, buffalo flank steak and venison rib chops are the headliners, but there&#8217;s also a menu of &#8220;tame game&#8221; options &#8212; steaks and such, simply seasoned and grilled over hickory.<\/p>\n<p>The decor features a mounted buffalo head and a sideboard filled with duck decoys. And the first 30 diners tonight get to field dress their dinners. Okay, I&#8217;m kidding about that last part.<\/p>\n<p>[UPDATE] While the Web site promises a poolside dining option, the restaurant&#8217;s publicist assures me there is no pool.
