{"id":282980,"date":"2010-02-05T09:44:10","date_gmt":"2010-02-05T14:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c630a53ef012877680602970c"},"modified":"2010-02-05T09:46:23","modified_gmt":"2010-02-05T14:46:23","slug":"new-rainstorm-expected-to-arrive-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/282980","title":{"rendered":"New rainstorm expected to arrive this morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"http:\/\/sat.wrh.noaa.gov\/satellite\/4km\/WR\/WV4.GIF\" src=\"http:\/\/sat.wrh.noaa.gov\/satellite\/4km\/WR\/WV4.GIF\" style=\"width: 598px; height: 448px;\"><\/img><\/p>\n<p>A new rainstorm should begin dumping rain on Southern California later this morning, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n<p>The morning commute should be dry for motorists, \u201cbut by the time they go<br \/>\nhome, driving will be a mess,\u201d the service&#8217;s Jamie Meier said. \u201cMountain driving is not<br \/>\ngoing to be fun.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Officials issued a winter storm warning for the region from noon Friday through Saturday at 9 p.m. A flash flood warning was issued for area hit by recent wildfires. &quot;Residents in or below the recent burn areas are urged to take the<br \/>\nsteps necessary to protect their property,&#8221; according to the weather service advisory.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The storm is expected to bring 2 inches in coastal and valley areas and as much as 4<br \/>\ninches in the foothills and mountains, according to the weather service.<\/p>\n<p>\nMountain resort areas can expect up to a foot of snow at levels at<br \/>\nabout 7,000 feet Friday, dropping to 4,500 feet Saturday.
