{"id":283134,"date":"2010-02-05T14:35:17","date_gmt":"2010-02-05T19:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f24\/president-obama-signs-new-jersey-disaster-declaration-39112\/"},"modified":"2010-02-05T14:35:17","modified_gmt":"2010-02-05T19:35:17","slug":"president-obama-signs-new-jersey-disaster-declaration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/283134","title":{"rendered":"President Obama Signs New Jersey Disaster Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>02.05.10 10:45 AM<\/p>\n<p>The President today declared a major disaster exists in the State of New Jersey and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the area struck by a snowstorm during the period of December 19-20, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Federal funding is available to State and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the snowstorm in the counties of Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, assistance is available to State and eligible local governments on a cost-sharing basis for emergency protective measures, including snow assistance, for a continuous 48-hour period during or proximate to the incident period.<\/p>\n<p>Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.<\/p>\n<p>W. Craig Fugate, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, named Stephen M.
