Personally, I like the Wehrmacht helmet look of the roof.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I\u2019m pretty much a take-\u2019em-or-leave-\u2019em guy when it comes to cars built before the sixties.  Sure, I appreciate the styling and craftsmanship, I just wouldn\u2019t want to own one. Too much fender and fron tire for my tastes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Factory Five Racing, purveyors of fine quality Cobra replicas, have introduced a kit called the \u201933 Hot Rod.  Starting with a steel tube frame chassis, the  Factory Five designers sculpted a body that\u2019s wider, lower and more aerodynamic than the original.  I see the influence of Boyd Coddington\u2019s AlumaCoupe, and that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_36410\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 510px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ridelust.com\/car-porn-factory-five-racing-%e2%80%9933-hot-rod\/33rcfrtqtr48\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-36410\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ridelust.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/33RCFRTQtr48-500x358.jpg\" alt=\"33 Hot Rod\" title=\"33RCFRTQtr48\" width=\"500\" height=\"358\" class=\"size-large wp-image-36410\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Built like a brick, um, outhouse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>How much will all this retro-tastiness set you back?  The chassis and body, sans wheels and tires, motor, transmission, rear end, battery, fuel pump, paint and finishing bits will set you back just under $20k.  Factory Five estimates that a complete car can be built for under $40k, including paintwork.  That may be a little on the conservative side, since they\u2019ve only estimated $250 for a Ford 4.6 liter V8 from a junkyard.
