\nSince I announced my candidacy for Los Angeles City Council, my family and I have been both honored and humbled by the unprecedented number of public safety, business and Neighborhood Council leaders that have joined my efforts to get the City back on the right track. <\/p>\n

At the close of the City\u0092s first filing period for the 2011 Los Angeles municipal elections, I am pleased to report that we have raised over $210,000 with more than 100 donors who live and work in Council District 12.<\/p>\n

More importantly, trusted leaders such as Councilman Greig Smith, District Attorney Steve Cooley, City Controller Wendy Greuel and Jane and Bert Boeckmann along with 12 current and former Neighborhood Council Presidents and many others that represent communities within Council District 12 have endorsed our campaign. <\/p>\n

They join LAPD Senior Lead Officers, former Police Chief William Bratton, and prominent Law Enforcement organizations such as Los Angeles City Fire Department Chief Officers Association and the Peace Officers Research Association of California which represents over 62,000 law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n

While I am grateful for the outpouring of support, we cannot take anything for granted. We can only improve public safety, create new jobs and increase the overall quality of life throughout our communities if we all work together.<\/p>\n
