Ronald Reagan would have been 99 years old today. So, honoring “the man that gave America the longest period of peace and economic growth”, here are some of my favorite quotes (and it’s hard to pick because there are SO MANY great ones):<\/p>\n

“How do you tell a communist? Well, it’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-communist? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”<\/p>\n

“Welfare’s purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.” <\/p>\n

“Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.”<\/p>\n

“The best social program is a productive job for anyone who’s willing to work. “<\/p>\n

“Republicans believe every day is 4th of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15. “<\/p>\n

“I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts.”<\/p>\n

“Democracy is worth dying for, because it’s the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.”<\/p>\n

“Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States. “<\/p>\n

“Don’t be afraid to see what you see. “<\/p>\n
