The rumored romance between country sweetheart Taylor Swift and Hollywood playboy John Mayer has hit the skids after the 20-year-old overbearing stage mom hit the roof over Mayer’s womanizing past.<\/p>\n

The odd couple reportedly began secretly seeing each other after Taylor ended her short-lived love affair with Twilight’s<\/em> Taylor Lautner. After Taylor collaborated with John, 32, for a song on his current album, the pair met for a romantic dinner at upscale Nashville hotspot Cabana. The date was followed by another at Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles. But the budding relationship between Swift and Mayer was KO’d by Andrea Swift, Taylor’s momager, after she learned of John’s rep for partying, pot smoking, and casual sex, The National Enquirer<\/em> said this week.<\/p>\n

With a string of girlfriends that includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Jessica Simpson, the rocker bad boy is hardly the kind of companion Andrea wants for her Grammy-winning daughter.<\/p>\n
