Police responded at 4 p.m. to the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard where a male suspect had allegedly stabbed a man and the suspect was also cut, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.<\/p>\n
The suspects and the victim were in an argument over money, police said.<\/p>\n
Andreaus Clark, 24, of 7925 S. Oglesby Ave., was pronounced dead at 4:22 p.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.<\/p>\n
Clark was stabbed at the Jeffery Boulevard address, according to the medical examiner’s office. The captain said after Clark was stabbed he stumbled inside a nearby currency exchange where he collapsed.<\/p>\n
Alfaro said the offender was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital where he was treated and released into police custody.<\/p>\n
No charges had been filed as of early Friday for the teen, who is a South Shore High School student, according to the police report.<\/p>\n
The captain said the \u201clong bladed\u201d knife used was recovered and a motive had not been determined early Friday.<\/p>\n
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.<\/p>\n
