If you want to buy OAR&#8217;s new album on Amazon, you&#8217;re going to end up paying 50% more for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rain-Or-Shine\/dp\/B003411OBG\/ref=dm_cd_album_lnk\">digital download<\/a> than you would for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B002XLBC4W\/ref=dm_dp_cdp?ie=UTF8&#038;s=music\">physical disc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It makes some sense, maybe, since at this point a majority of people ordering from Amazon will just end up downloading that the content of the CD onto their computer anyway. They&#8217;re paying more to save themselves that step, and to get their music right away. But $7 more? For the exact same content, minus actual physical resources?<\/p>\n<p>Either this is the result of an inventory clean-out, a poorly conceived last-ditch effort to save CDs, or we&#8217;ve officially entered a Bizarro land where objects cost less than concepts. Which, hey, doesn&#8217;t sound so bad after all.
