The new fund requires a $1,000 minimum investment ($2,500 inside an RRSP) and carries a maximum management fee of 2.25%. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCore holdings of a portfolio should start with fully allocated and<br \/>\ninsured physical bullion.&quot; said Nick Barisheff, president and CEO of BMG, in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;There should be no derivatives or hedges of<br \/>\nany kind, nor should there be any third-party claim on the bullion,<br \/>\ncounterparty risks or dependency on portfolio managers for trading<br \/>\nstrategies.\u201d   <\/p>\n<p>Later this week \u2013 likely Wednesday \u2013 the previously announced conversion of closed\u2013end Claymore Gold Bullion Trust into an open-end exchange traded<br \/>\nfund will also take place.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The new Claymore ETF will carry a management fee of 0.50%, including all operating expenses and custody fees.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:dpett@nationalpost.com%20\">David Pett<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/network.nationalpost.com\/np\/aggbug.aspx?PostID=393208\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of new options to buy gold bullion hit the Canadian market this week, feeding a growing appetite for precious metals in their physical form.
