The debut of Betty White’s side-splitting Snickers ad at this Sunday’s record-setting Super Bowl is helping fans of the former “Golden Girl” gain momentum in their fight to bring her to NBC late-night. Less than a week after its inception, over 100 000 people have joined the Facebook campaign to get Betty to host Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a>!<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Last week, David Mathews — the ultimate Betty fan and creator of the Betty White Facebook Fan Page — sent a letter to SNL<\/em> creator Lorne Michaels, imploring the television producer to sign the 88-year-old comedy legend up for her first hosting gig on the long-running sketch series.<\/p>\n \u201cMy ask of you is simple,\u201d<\/em> he wrote. \u201cWhat would it take to get you to invite Betty White to be a guest host on SNL? She is brilliant, funny, witty, and a comedic genius and legend.
